Work experience in solicitors’ firms is useful. It increases your experience of the Law, and at the same time gives you a justification as to why you want to become a Barrister.

 

You can either apply for a Vacation Scheme at a large firm through their application methods (see websites) or some work experience at a local firm which is usually applied for via a CV and covering letter.
